Patty and Mike
This was a nice holiday season as my daughter Patty and her husband were here sharing life with us. The first day they came over Patty wanted to go for a ride on my Piaggio BV 250 Page scooter, and I of course would never deny such a request. The day was not too cold and the roads were mostly dry and clear. So, off we went. I think Mike was more troubled by the event than Patty was…I can’t say for sure. Actually for me, it was a highlight of their visit. We jumped on the scooter and headed out around the city. We were actually gone perhaps 1/2 hour plus, and I must say it was great having her on board. She is a natural and showed no signs of fear at all. I hardly could tell she was behind me. Anyway, our ride was so much fun for me. I would liked to have let Mike take it out for a spin as he has a mc license, but he is from the southern U.S. and he didn’t shine to the idea of the cold. But, he did say that the next time they are in town, and it is warm, he would love to take a ride. My daughter Melissa went for a ride with me during the warmer temps and she loved the ride. She said she wants to buy one herself It was so nice having Patty and Mike here. They are back home now, so far away, and I hope our togethers were as fun for them as they were for me. I miss having them in my life more, but that’s the nature of young ones…off they go, and that’s good too.
