Happy birthday to me

That’s right, it’s my birthday today. It’s always a weird day, though they have gotten better over the years. I woke up to the doorbell bright and early this morning with a flower delivery. Thanks to my love for flowers every year. It’s a gloomy rainy day, but the flowers brighten up my living room. Today will be a day of housecleaning. Some people have asked why I’m spending my birthday cleaning. Well…it’s because I like having a clean place to spend my time in, and it’s way overdue, and hard to get done with a 2 1/2 year old undoing everything as soon as it’s finished. It’s still a little hard to believe I am 53 years old today and raising a 2 1/2 year old. And please, don’t tell me it keeps me young. You try it!
