CD Release
We finally did it! The new CD is about to be released. The official release party will be at Caffe Lena on November 29th. We should have the CDs by the end of next week. The cover is beautiful! The whole package is wonderful. We have been working on this, off and on, for about three years. It’s hard to believe it’s almost in our hands. You can listen to some samples on our MySpace page, and soon you will be able to buy it on CD Baby, on our website, at our shows and at many local stores and cafes. You can also hear us on a few regional radio stations this month and next. We will be on WRPI in Troy, NY this Sunday, WBCR in Great Barrington, MA on Monday the 23rd, WCUW in Worcester, MA sometime in December and more that are in the process of being booked.
We had so much fun doing this! Below is a photo collage done by our graphic artist of all the musicians, our “reader” and the engineers. We had a lot of great people helping work on this project. In addition to the musicians, Dave Danks and Ed Lowman, and reader Alifair Skebe, we had Carol Coogan doing the graphic work, Domhnall O’Ceallaigh who did the cover, Hoby Ebert (MoonDogEast Studio) and Peter Koniuto (Red Sun Soundroom) both working on the recording and mixing, and Larry Devivo (Silvertone Mastering) who did the final mastering. We are both very thankful to everyone, including our family, who have been very supportive throughout this long and sometimes stressful project.
This would never have turned out as good as it did without everyone’s help. We are very lucky to have so much support and to be part of such a great community. I wish everyone could experience that sense of being in a larger family. It is hard work to build it, but is so well worth it. It makes life much easier in the long run.
