Fahy concert
We just had a very successful concert. I managed to say a few things in French and even gave a brief translation for “Morning Melody” before singing it. I also learned to sing 3 verses of “Les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde,” a french drinking song. We did a kind of cajun version. It was a huge success. We sold many CDs and felt very welcomed and loved. Some of the Swiss folks here speak Swiss German, though most of them speak French. Dick and I both were able to converse some throughout the night. Everyone appreciated our effort. We have many invitations to return. I will be sad to leave tomorrow morning but am also looking forward to coming home. We are very tired.
Tomorrow we will go to Basel, maybe to do street music, then on through the Black Forest and eventually, we’ll stay the night in Franfurt. Tabby, my little 5-year old back home, told me, ”if you see a house made of candy,” in the Black Forest, “please, Nana, don’t eat it!” I promised that I would be very careful. This will be my last post until I return. We leave from Berlin on Monday morning, arriving in Newark a little before 1 pm. I imagine it will take us a few days to really land, then shortly afterwards, I will start posting photos online.
